Ottawa Train Station
Client: VIA Rail
Project description
The primary objective was a refurbishment of the existing VIA Ottawa train station to meet user needs and make it universally accessible. Phase 1 of the refurbishment was to create a temporary passenger lounge and, while at it upgrade all mechanical, electrical, telecom and security systems. During Phase 2, the new permanent VIA passenger lounge was created, featuring quiet workspaces, comfortable armchairs for resting, alcoves and recessed areas for privacy, and a self-service snack area.
