Characteristics and Impacts
This significant project involved investigating and assessing the existing steam, domestic cold water, and hot water infrastructure serving the old staff cabins, from the main lodge source to the cabin terminal units. Our team evaluated the current conditions and collaborated with operations staff to identify issues, opportunities, and constraints.
We provided a conceptual design report outlining various options, costs, and payback for a new district heating system to replace the outdated 1960s heating system in the staff housing. The findings have set the stage for future implementation, with construction expected to begin in 2024.
