Project description
This project involved the construction of a single-storey commercial building with a total floor area of more than 8,000 square metres, designed following a new concept to enhance the customer experience.

Characteristics and Impacts
- The mixed-use space includes areas for furniture, home appliances, and electronics, as well as a bedroom showroom and warehouse space.
- The building features an exposed glued-laminated timber frame that showcases the craftsmanship of Quebec artisans and gives the project a distinctive architectural character.
- The hybrid structural design strategically combines materials to optimize performance. Exposed timber decking runs throughout the sales areas, while a steel truss system spans the warehouse, thereby reducing construction costs.
- The result is a building that combines the warmth and character of wood with cost-effective, operationally efficient solutions.
