Ottawa Hospital – University of Ottawa Heart Institute
Client: HDR
Project presentation
The expansion of the Heart Institute involved the construction of a new approximately 150,000ft2, 6-storey building designed to house office, conference, laboratory, operating, and teaching functions. The new concrete framed structure is located between 5 existing building structures and was designed to be expanded vertically by an additional 3 floors in the future (utilizing staged construction techniques that would not impact the lower floors).
