1956–2026 | 70 Years of Passion and Innovation

Founded in 1956 in Montreal by Roland Bouthillette and Maurice Parizeau, BPA has established itself over the years as a leading firm in building engineering. From day one, we helped shape the Montreal landscape through major projects such as the Quebec pavilion at Expo 67, Complexe Desjardins and the Olympic facilities.

In the 90s, BPA continued to build on this success with iconic and game-changing projects such as the Biodome and the Biosphere. Our expertise extended beyond Quebec’s borders starting in the 2000s, helping in the development of several major Canadian cities.

The continuous expansion of our service offering has resulted in an organic expansion across the country. Today, BPA is proud to be the largest Canadian firm specialized in building engineering, with over 1,200 employees in more than 20 offices across 6 provinces.

Over time, we’ve structured our growth around a core ambition: to build a sustainable future. This vision, crystallized in the 1980s, has guided our decisions and our actions ever since and is now at the very heart of our mission. It’s reflected in the commitment of our teams, who work with passion and utmost professionalism with architects, contractors and property managers on projects of all scopes and sizes. Our experts constantly strive to raise industry standards and develop innovative and cutting-edge solutions to the most complex building engineering and sustainability challenges.

Backed by 70 years of excellence, innovation and achievements, we take great pride in everything we’ve accomplished and look forward to building the future of our impactful engineering together with you!
