BPA honoured at the Cecobois awards

In the Interior Design category, where the École Polytechnique de Montréal’s student showcase tied with another project, BPA was acknowledged by the judges for its participation.

The showcase, which is located in a public space, serves multiple functions and is composed of 641 slats of birch cherry wood. The structure is as much a piece furniture as it is a ceiling, and is used to delineate the spaces. The curves in the wood resemble the ripples of a sail in the wind while the lighting, which is meticulously integrated, gives the impression of movement by tracing luminous forms on the various surfaces. In addition, the mechanical and electrical systems were concealed so as not to alter the undulation and curves of the structure, which demonstrates, as the jury indicated, the project team’s attention to detail. Congratulations to the entire team!
