Your main responsibilities

Reporting to the Project Manager(s), the Revit Technician will

  • Use Revit software to prepare, coordinate, verify, and design mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire protection building systems for various projects.
  • Identify interferences with other building systems.
  • Prepare and/or aid in the preparation of construction drawings as required by the Project Engineer(s), Designer(s), & Senior Technologists.
  • Prepare designs in conformance with the most recent building standards and codes.
  • Help carry out surveys of existing conditions, draw up plans using AutoCAD and Revit and write specifications.
  • Help prepare budget estimates.
  • Work closely with the project team to develop solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Assist in regard to site supervision.
  • Consistently follow company policies, procedures and file structures/format.
  • Perform other related tasks, including administrative tasks.

Your Profile

  • You’ve completed a college program in Drafting, or Mechanical, or Architectural Engineering Technology
  • You have one to five (1-5) years of experience in the mechanical field creating Revit designs.
  • You are competent with a variety of computer software including high proficiency with Revit (BIM), experience with AutoCAD is an asset
  • You are proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Package (Work, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Your understanding of building systems, interference coordination with other building elements, function, and 3D visualization is considered an asset
  • You can meet deadlines and have successful completion of projects.
  • You can communicate and work well with other teams.
  • You have excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure on single/multiple tasks.
  • You pay strong attention to detail.
  • You are team and client focused.
