Permanent and full-time, at the Edmonton office

Your role

The main tasks of the Proposal Writer will be to write, edit and proofread proposals and relevant marketing materials, under limited direction within specific deadlines.

  • Review solicitation documents (RFP) to understand the proposal deliverables, capture the needs and translate them into a winning proposal
  • Work in collaboration with the Proposal Lead to develop a bidding strategy (project team, relevant experience, methodology and other required information)
  • Conduct research to write and edit project data sheets, resumes, approach, corporate profile, etc.
  • Follow a meticulous work plan to ensure timely delivery of proposals
  • Review information to meet the requirements and edit texts, as recommended
  • Format documents for final assembly, while ensuring the quality of deliverables
  • Follow up on delivery

Your profile

  • University or College degree in a related field (Communications, Translation or English literature)
  • Minimum three years’ experience in a similar position in consulting engineering, architect firm or in construction
  • Strong writing/editing skills in English
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to write clearly and concisely
  • Ability to multi-task with minimal supervision and under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with and resolve issues with Subject Matter Experts.
  • Result-oriented, innovative, and creative.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken). Ability to speak and write in French, will be considered an asset
