3RV Recognition by the Contech Program

Bouthillette Parizeau receives a 3RV Recognition for the MTQ-CGER building

We are finishing the year on the right foot, having received a 3RV Recognition (which in French stands for Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Validation). We received this distinction for the MTQ-CGER Integrated Centre, an innovative project completed in collaboration with Provencher Roy. The contest panel looked for Quebec expertise in building services and the presence of the 3RV values, which stress the importance of reducing, reusing, recycling and recovering.

The approach we used for the MTQ-CGER Integrated Centre centers on the collection of stormwater on the roof of the building, which is used to provide more than 0.840 million liters of stormwater per year for street washing and sanitation equipment. This process has significantly reduced the Center’s use of drinking water while minimizing the disruptions to the water cycle. In addition to this environmental initiative, the entire center was designed and built according to current best practices in “green” architecture and aims to obtain LEED certification
